The Gary Fisher bike that I have been working has V brakes. Both sets of brakes were rubbing on one side. The adjustment is very easy. I made a quick video to show how to repair this.

I'm going to show you how to fix D breaks that are rubbing on one side if you notice here the one side kind of comes over and the other side really doesn't move if I go ahead and spin the tire this side is rubbing the first thing you want to do is release the skewer to make sure that the tire is centered just go ahead and release the skewer get the tire make sure it sits in there all set up and then tighten it back up again if you're still having issues now we're going to have to make adjustments to the brakes since this one is like not moving in but this one is we want to pull this one out so there's a little screw down here it's either a flat tip or a Philips I use a flat tip here just go ahead and tighten it just turn it half a turn clockwise then the little screw over here we want to go ahead and loosen it just a little bit and we're going ahead and just loose it a half a turn so turn that counter-clock clockwise half turn go ahead and try the brakes still not right so go ahead and tighten this another half a turn and loosen this one half a turn see this try to get it's getting better there that's just about right let's just go ahead and just another quarter of turn let's go ahead just turn this just a little bit more perfect that's all you need to do
