It belongs to the X Series, a line of light and portable business-class notebooks. Lenovo X201 laptops are ideal for mobile professionals that need a fast portable computing solution that's also secure and durable to use. ThinkPad X201 laptops are one of Lenovo's lightest and thinnest notebooks. It has a starting weight of 2.89 lbs. and it comes with a 12.1" WXGA LED display. The X201 is also thin, measuring about 1" in thickness. While the form factor is small and portable, it by no means compromises the durability of the notebook. The ThinkPad X201 is built for the road, having been designed to pass military spec requirements. The hard drive is shock-mounted and it has a spill resistant keyboard. X201 has protective magnesium alloy or carbon-glass fibers covers on the top and bottom of the laptop. The ThinkPad X201 can be fitted with a 9-cell battery that gives it over 12 hours of battery life. There are a handful of X201 pre-built models available.
